Can we BYO alcohol?

Yes, BYO alcohol is permitted at BYRA. All alcohol must be served in accordance with RSA regulations and managed by appropriately qualified bar staff. If you are engaging Boardwalk Catering, we can coordinate staffing, glassware, ice, bar setup and full service to ensure responsible service and a seamless guest experience.As BYRA is a licensed venue, all alcohol must be served by staff who hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate. These staff may be supplied by your chosen caterer or arranged through Boardwalk Catering. Copies of all RSA certificates will be required prior to your event.

What time do events at BYRA need to finish?

All music must cease by 10:00pm sharp.The hall hire concludes at 10:30pm, and all guests must vacate the premises by this time. The venue is located in a quiet residential area, so these times are strictly enforced in line with council regulations.Our team can assist with your run sheet to ensure there is still plenty of time between dinner, speeches and dancing to ensure you can maximise your event.

Full day BYRA hall hire applies to the Event Date only with:Music required to cease by 10:00pm sharpAll guests to vacate by 10:30pmHall hire terminating at 11:00pmPack-down and rubbish removal must also be completed by 11:00pm.For full day bookings, access the day prior is also available, subject to availability.access for collection of personal items, hire equipment or vendor bump-out must be completed by 9:00am the following morningHire is also available on an hourly basis (minimum 4 hours). The venue hire period includes setup, event time, and pack down so hirers need to account for this when specifying their booking time.

To enquire about hosting a wedding or premium event at BYRA, simply submit an enquiry through the website. A dedicated event specialist will guide you through availability, catering options and next steps. All bookings and events are professionally managed from start to finish.

Question 6

Does BYRA work with external suppliers?

Accepted Answer

BYRA works closely with trusted suppliers and can recommend stylists, florists, entertainment and hire companies. This ensures quality and smooth coordination. External suppliers are managed in line with venue requirements.

Do we have to pay for cleaning?

You have three options:Option 1: Complete the cleaning yourselves and remove all rubbish from the venue by 9:00am the following morning (full day bookings)Option 2: We can arrange professional cleaning and rubbish removal for an additional fee.Option 3: Cleaning and standard rubbish removal are included when you engage Boardwalk Catering for your event.This gives you the flexibility to choose the option that best suits your event, budget and preferred level of involvement.
